Holocaust memory project
Today, I participated in The Human Element Project, a national Holocaust memory reconstruction project led by Los Angeles artist, Lori Shocket. Holocaust survivors and their families construct photo boards which memorialize their lives before, during, and after the war. The picture below shows four photo boards, memorializing the lives of: my father, my mother, my great grandfather, and myself.
I invite you to “Like” the project on www.thehumanelementproject.com, as well as on my Facebook page, www.Facebook.com/coheller. Thanks!
Where can we see your photo boards?
They will be online on http://www.thehumanelementproject.com. I’m not sure how soon they’ll be there. They will also be part of a museum exhibit in Baltimore next spring.
Charlie,
Please let me know when your photo boards will be on display in the Baltimore museum exhibit spring of 2017. I would be such an interesting place to take my son and grandson. My grandson is 11 years old now and for him to see such an exhibit would be a very meaningful experience for him.
Best,
Pat
